One Man arrested following Weekend Pub Shooting.

An update now on a story we featured yesterday, concerning a fatal shooting which took place at a Car park of a popular Thai Pub located at the North End of Pattaya Third Road. Khun Poomin aged 18 was shot and killed in the shooting. A further man, Khun Itipan aged 23 and his girlfriend, Khun Sudarat aged 20 were injured by bullets from Khun Poomin’s gun, however they claimed they were caught up in the crossfire and were not involved in any problems with the victim. This has now been determined to be untrue and Police have arrested Khun Itipan on a charge of murder. This was announced at a Press Conference at Pattaya Police Station on Monday Night led by Police Colonel Nopadon, the new Superintendent of Pattaya Police Station. Rumors suggesting a problem over the love of a woman was to blame for the shooting were discounted and the involvement of an unknown shooter driving a Bronze Nissan Sofero, was also found to be untrue. It was determined that the reason behind the shooting was a problem which begun a few weeks ago between Khun Itipan and a man named as Khun Soontorn. Both men had known each other since High School. Their long-standing disagreement continued at the Pub on Saturday Night, and Police suspect that the dead man, Khun Poomin was told to shoot Khun Itipan in the Car Park, however this has yet to be confirmed. Khun Itipan is now facing murder charges and will be kept on remand pending a court appearance.
