Construction Engineering Conference held in Jomtien.
On Wednesday Morning at the Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel a 3 day engineering seminar began to discuss construction of buildings around Thailand to ensure they can withstand natural disasters. The meeting was organized following a number of natural disasters including Cyclone Nargis which devastated parts of Myanmar and the recent Earthquake in China. Privy Councilor, Air Chief Marshall Gumton opened the seminar which will discuss the construction of buildings to ensure they are not affected by natural disasters and the impact of higher building costs because of new regulations which require these construction modifications to take place.
